    Khama Billiat - Kaizer Chiefs

The Zimbabwean talisman had a bittersweet first season with Kaizer Chiefs where despite contributing 14 goals across all competitions, his team still finished empty-handed. All eyes will again be on Billiat to see if he can do enough this season and help Amakhosi end their four-year trophy drought.

    Ronwen Williams - SuperSport United

After winning the Goalkeeper of the Season award, Ronwen Williams has an even bigger role to play this season, especially with SuperSport United eager to challenge for league honours after coming so close in the previous campaign. It will be interesting to see if the lanky goalkeeper can hold his own and possibly make the Bafana Bafana No.1 jersey his own.

    Rodney Ramagalela - Highlands Park

The former Polokwane City marksman hasn't played a competitive game in a long time, but he remains one of the most feared strikers in the PSL. Highlands Park will certainly put their faith in him, and with the experience he possesses and an eye for goal, Ramagalela is definitely one of the players to watch this season.

    Themba Zwane - Mamelodi Sundowns

The Mamelodi Sundowns winger enjoyed a successful campaign last season, and even forced Stuart Baxter to take him along to the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt last month. Having established himself as one of the regulars in the national team, Zwane will be expected to take his football career a notch up in the new season and prove just why he's highly rated by both Pitso Mosimane and Baxter.

    Thembinkosi Lorch - Orlando Pirates

Lorch was head and shoulders above the rest last term, but whether or not he will be able to replicate the same form that saw him win big at the PSL awards remains to be seen. However, being one of the hottest properties in South African football, Lorch showed glimpses of what the fans can expect in the new season in the CBL Cup against Chiefs as Orlando Pirates take aim at major silverware.
