Ushuru jump to third in the NSL table as Western Staima stretches their lead

Western Stima opened up a nine-point gap at the summit following a 4-0 win over Green Commandos

Ushuru leaped to the top three in the National Super League following a 1-0 victory over Kibera Black Stars.

Benson Amianda scored the lone goal in the match played at Camp Toyoyo to revive Ushuru’s poor start to the season.

The win sees Ushuru jump to third on the log with 25 points, nine shy of runaway leaders Western Stima.

Ushuru, may however further chop off Stima’s lead should they win the extra game at hand.

A goal apiece by former Thur Gem alumnus Fredrick Nyarombo and James Ogada, coupled with a brace by Kevin Okoth, saw the Powermen take their point tally to 34 from 15 matches.

KCB went down 3-2 to Nairobi City Stars while Isibania’s stretched their poor run of form after the Migori County-based side went down 4-2 at home to Kangemi All-stars.
