From Argentina to the United Kingdom and back home again, the whole planet is talking about A Selecao after Thursday's emphatic victory

Paulinho is back! A stunning hat-trick. Neymar was spectacular, as was his wonderful chip over Uruguay goalkeeper Martin Silva. Tite was perfect: Seven matches, seven wins.

Argentinian sports daily Olé marked the win as, "The Seventh Wonder", alluding to the Selecao’s seven consecutive wins under Tite. It is noteworthy that in this period, Brazil also defeated Colombia in a friendly.

La Nacion, another Argentinian newspaper, described Brazil’s stunning victory as a true "Carnival".

Barcelona-based Sport labelled called Brazil “unstoppable” and highlighted the fine start by new coach Tite. And, of course, it spoke of how Neymar is stepping up at big moments in big games for both Barcelona and the national team.

AS, in Madrid, meanwhile, did not miss the opportunity to highlight Marcelo’s involvement in the penalty that gave Uruguay a first-half lead.

In Uruguay, the local press highlighted the "fall of the fortress" in allusion to the first defeat suffered by Oscar Tabarez’s men in Montevideo since 2009.

Paulinho grabbed most of the headlines, of course, particularly in England where he remembered only for an underwhelming stay with Tottenham Hotspur.

Around the UK, major media outlets described the ‘Premier League flop’s’ remarkable evening. The Sun and the Daily Mail, in particular, revelled in recalling his misadventures in England.

Back home, UOL’s Juca Kfouri called, “Tite for president.” Globo ran with “99% for Russia,” evoking statistician Tristao Garcia’s calculations that the Selecao now have a 99% chance of qualification.

If Chile and Ecuador both lose on Tuesday, and Brazil win, then they will mathematically secure qualification this month.
