Spurs, for their part, were beaten 2-1 by Manchester United in their previous friendly having overcome Juventus 3-2 in their first game of the summer.

The 7-3 defeat against Atletico was humiliating for the 13-time European champions. Not just because of the margin of victory, but for the ease with which Real Madrid were overwhelmed by their cross-city rivals.
Los Rojiblancos could easily have got into double figures while Madrid were perhaps fortunate to score three times, and it is obvious that an improvement needs to be seen on Tuesday against Spurs.
Meanwhile, the north Londoners were much better in the second half against Man United, with the introduction of Son Heung-min allowing them to create more danger.
The Korean forward could well cause some problems to a Madrid defence that has shown itself to have difficulty in dealing with forwards of his mobility, and so an open game in Munich looks the way to go here.
