Ghanaian and Ostersunds FK defender Samuel Mensah has revealed that he would love to have Premier League giants Arsenal in the same group of the Uefa Europa League ahead of the draw on Friday at Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, France.

The 28-year-old has featured 18 times in all competitions for the Swedish side with one goal, as they eliminated Galatasaray, Fola Esch and PAOK in the preliminary round and playoff stages of the Europa League.

"Arsenal are the club I'd like to meet [in the Europa League group stages]," Mensah told

"I chose Arsenal because they're one of the top sides in the competition and the team I support. My love for them became even stronger when I was playing in England. I always went to watch their games anytime I had the chance. It will be a fine platform for most us to play at the Emirates," he said.

He added: "But having said that, any other opponent that will come our way wouldn't be bad because we've prepared well for the competition. We are going to enjoy ourselves and hope that we do well."

Mensah's Ostersunds have been pitted in pot 4 which contains Apollon Limassol, Istanbul Basaksehir, Konyaspor, Vitesse Arnhem, Slavia Prague, Red Star Belgrade, Skenderbeu, FC Zlin, AEK Athens, FC Lugano, Vardar Skopje.

Other Ghanaians Joseph Attamah Laweh and Patrick Twumasi will also hope for a good draw for their clubs Istanbul Basaksehir and Astana respectively as well as defender Kadri Mohammed with Austria Wien.
