Telles wants to join Man Utd


Porto left-back Alex Telles wants to join Manchester United, according to Sky Sports. 

United have been chasing the 27-year-old Brazilian, who has entered the final year of his contract with the Portuguese side.

The Red Devils are still looking to negotiate down the fee for Telles, with Porto currently demanding around £40 million (€44m/$51m).

Balagizi signs first pro deal with Liverpool


Sevilla await improved City bid for Kounde


Sevilla are expecting an improved bid from Manchester City for defender Jules Kounde, reports ESPN.

The Liga side rejected a €55 million (£50m/$64m) offer from City for the France U-21 star, as they feel they will be able to secure a higher fee next summer.

But City could come in with an improved offer for Kounde, which could prove too hard for Sevilla to turn down.

Man Utd plan at least two more signings


Manchester United are planning at least two more signings before the window closes, according to The Sun.

United have only managed to bring in Donny van de Beek from Ajax during the current window as they continue to be frustrated in their pursuit of other targets.

But United will push on and are hoping to land both Jadon Sancho and Alex Telles within the coming weeks.

Aouar gives green light to Arsenal move


The 22-year-old could be heading for north London

Lyon star Houssem Aouar has given his approval for a move to Arsenal, according to Telefoot.

The 22-year-old preferred to join either Barcelona or Juventus but with no offers from those teams forthcoming, he has decided to join the Gunners instead.

Arsenal and Lyon will now meet to discuss a transfer fee for the midfielder. 

Tottenham in talks to sign Inter star Skriniar


Tottenham are in talks to sign Inter centre-back Milan Skriniar, according to The Sun.

It is understood that Skriniar is keen on a move to England, with Jose Mourinho having tracked the 25-year-old for several years. 

However, Tottenham have so far been unwilling to meet Inter's £55 million (€60m/$70m) asking price for the Slovakian.

Man City in talks with Benfica over Ruben Dias


Manchester City are in talks with Benfica over a move for defender Ruben Dias, reports the BBC.

City are still in the market for a right-sided centre-back, having yet to adequately replace Vincent Kompany after the Belgian left following the 2018-19 season.

With City unwilling to meet Napoli's asking price for Kalidou Koulibaly, they have turned their attention toward the 23-year-old Portugal international.

Manchester City defender Yan Couto has joined Girona on a season-long loan.

The right-back joined City from Coritiba in his native Brazil after turning 18 on June 3.

Leeds eye AZ captain Koopmeiners


Leeds United are eyeing a move for AZ midfielder Teun Koopmeiners, according to The Telegraph.

Marcelo Bielsa is looking to strengthen his side's central midfield after Pablo Hernandez was ruled out for two weeks with a groin strain.

Koopmeiners, 22, has been capped for the Netherlands at various youth levels and can also play at centre-back.

Rudiger set for Chelsea exit with PSG, Barca & Roma interest


Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Roma are all interested in a move for Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger. 

Chelsea are hoping to sell the Germany defender in the transfer window, but may have to settle on loaning him out after he dropped down the Stamford Bridge depth chart.

Chelsea sign 16-year-old Finnish striker


Chelsea have signed Aleksi Heino, who will join the club's academy on a two-year deal.

Heino joins the Blues from FC Inter in Finland, who announced the deal on Friday.

In August, the 16-year-old forward went on trial with both Wolfsburg and Chelsea, with the latter closing a deal that will see the striker feature for the club's U-18s.

USMNT's Yedlin in talks with MLS clubs


U.S. men's national team defender DeAndre Yedlin is in talks with MLS clubs, reports

A move to MLS would only be possible if Newcastle let the fullback move on for free, but Yedlin could also sign a precontract in January as his current contract nears an end.

Yedlin still has interest from Europe, and would need to take a paycut to make a return to MLS, where he originally broke through with the Seattle Sounders.

Ex-Liverpool forward Duncan joins Derby


Liverpool academy product Bobby Duncan has joined Derby, the club announced.

Duncan was most recently at Fiorentina, having moved to Italy in September 2019 after scoring 30 goals at at the academy level for Liverpool the season before.

The forward has represented England at U16, U17, U18 and U19 level.

“Bobby Duncan is a player with plenty of potential and we are delighted that he has chosen to join Derby County," said Derby’s Academy Director Darren Wassall/

“Initially, Bobby will join our Under-23s squad. Like with any other player in our Academy set-up, if they perform both in training and in matches then there is a pathway at this club to progress to the first-team.”

Liverpool youngster set for first pro deal


Liverpool have announced that James Balagizi has signed his first professional contract.

The 17-year-old midfielder made his U18s debut at age 15, scoring twice against Blackburn Rovers.

Balgazi recently debuted for the U21s,  coming off the bench against Wigan Athletic in the EFL Trophy.

Zidane not expecting late splurge


Zinedine Zidane says he is not expecting a late splurge on the transfer market from Real Madrid.

The manager insists he won't pressure the board into any big signings as he is prepared to start the season with the squad he has.

Leeds loan midfielder to Oldham


Leeds have loaned midfielder Alfie McCalmont to Oldham until the end of the season, the club announced.

McCalmont has made two first-team appearances for Leeds, and will now continue his development with the League Two side.

The 20-year-old midfielder has earned one cap for Northern Ireland. 

Bentaleb 'set for Sampdoria move'


Schalke finally look to be selling former Tottenham midfielder Nabil Bentaleb, according to reports in Italy.

The Algerian international, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Newcastle United, is on the verge of a move to Serie A club Sampdoria, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

Bentaleb, who only has one year left on his contract, is out of favour with Schalke manager David Wagner.

‘Liverpool need Koulibaly, but not for silly money’


Liverpool still need to be looking at bringing in another centre-half, says Steve Nicol, but the Reds have been warned against paying “silly money” for Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly.

The former Reds defender told ESPN FC: “If the money is right [it’s a no-brainer], but clearly, they’re asking for silly money.

“The chairman at Napoli is well known for being tough to deal with. If it’s silly money it won’t happen, but I’d like to see it happen. 

“The guy is absolutely in the prime of his career, he’s a great centre-back. Any team on the planet would like to have this guy, but it depends on the money.

“I think Napoli will be asking for too much money, so I don’t think it’ll happen - but it would be nice if it did.” 

Leeds target Gvardiol moves to RB Leipzig


Defender Josko Gvardiol has moved to RB Leipzig from Dinamo Zagreb, having previously been linked to Leeds United.

The Croatian centre-back has made the switch for €16 million (£14.5m/$18.5m), however has rejoined Dinamo on loan for the 2020-21 season.

According to reports in Croatia, there are various clauses in Gvardiol's contract regarding appearances and whether Dinamo qualify for the Champions League which, if met, could push the transfer fee to over €20m (£18m/$23m).

Khelifi joins Dijon on loan


Paris Saint-Germain striker Lea Khelifi has joined Dijon on a season-long loan, however there is no option to buy.

The 21-year-old joined PSG in 2019 and has scored four goals in 15 matches. She has made 33 international appearances at various levels between U16 and U23 for France.

Atletico offer one-year contract to Cavani


Atletico Madrid have offered Edinson Cavani a one-year contract with the option for a further 12 months, Goal can reveal.

The offer comes days after Atletico completed a deal to sign Luis Suarez from Barcelona for €6 million (£5.5m/$7m) - now they are looking to bring his Uruguay international team-mate to Wanda Metropolitano.

However, there is a major hurdle in the way of the deal - Diego Costa. Atletico must sell the Spain international striker before they can sign Cavani, as they cannot afford the wages of all three star strikers.

Man Utd-linked Jimenez 'open to everything'



Raul Jimenez remains "open to everything" as he continues to spark talk of interest from the likes of Manchester United and Juventus, but the Wolves striker will not be pushing for a move away from Molineux.

Speaking at an event at Mexico's London embassy to celebrate the country's independence, the talented forward told reporters: "I have three more seasons left [on my contract].

"If I stay here at Wolves, I’d be very happy. We know that anything can happen and there could be a change. I’m open to everything.

"I already had the luck to play some games [in the Champions League]. It’s something incredible and it’s in my plans to play again, but first I have to do what I have to do with Wolves."

Roma keen on Mayoral deal


Roma are exploring the possibility of signing Real Madrid striker Borja Mayoral as a back-up for first-choice striker Edin Dzeko, Corriere dello Sport reports.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international eventually ended up staying at Stadio Olimpico despite interest from Juventus, who signed Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid instead.

And Roma are now looking to add options to their attack, with Mayoral, who is way down the pecking order at Madrid, in their sights and the player keen on the move.

It is understood that the Serie A side could land the Spaniard for €10 million plus add-ons, with Mayoral having not played for Madrid's first team since the 2018-19 season.

Gunners are keen on a swap deal but Atleti holding firm

Arsenal are continuing to be frustrated in their attempts to sign Thomas Partey despite talks progressing with Atletico Madrid over a deal for Lucas Torreira.

Atleti are keen on a loan move for Torreira, while the Gunners want to sell to bring in money to help them land Partey, their priority target for the summer.

Sources have confirmed to Goal that the Spanish side are so far refusing to even discuss the possibility of including the Ghana international in any deal for Torreira, with talks due to continue.

Argentine aims fresh dig at Camp Nou giants


Lionel Messi has aimed a fresh dig at Barcelona on the back of his efforts to leave the club, with the Argentine questioning the decision at Camp Nou to "throw out" Luis Suarez.

In an emotional goodbye post published on his Instagram page, Messi wrote: 

"We're going to miss you so much. We spent many years together, many lunches and many dinners. So many things we will never forget, all the time we spent together.

"It will be strange to see you in another shirt and much more to come up against you on the pitch. You deserved a farewell that fit with who you are: one of the most important players in the history of the club. Someone who achieved great things for the team and on an individual level.

"You did not deserve for them to throw you out like they did. But the truth is that at this stage nothing surprises me anymore."

Everton join Milik chase


Carlo Ancelotti's Everton have joined the pool of clubs interested in signing Arkadiusz Milik from Napoli, Sky Sport's Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

The Polish striker had originally looked set to join Roma, with Edin Dzeko moving to Juventus in something of a transfer carousel.

Van Aanholt is in the final year of his career and there are reportedly doubts over his future at the club.
