Leicester City are firm favourites to take their place in the FA Cup fourth round when they welcome Fleetwood Town to King Power Stadium for a third round replay on Tuesday night.

The two teams played out a hard-fought goalless draw at Highbury earlier this month but, having relinquished home advantage, the Cod Army will have to be at their very best if they are to send the 2016 Premier League champions crashing out of the competition.

Match odds

The Foxes have won just one of their last eight matches in all competitions, but they claimed a battling goalless draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge at the weekend despite being reduced to 10 men after the interval.

Furthermore, Leicester boast a hugely impressive home record against lower league teams in this competition - having won 16 of their last 18 FA Cup ties on their own patch against teams from outside of the top tier - so it is little surprise that Betfair Sportsbook make the Premier League side their 2/9 (1.22) favourites to win this tie inside 90 minutes.

Fleetwood, by contrast, have not won an FA Cup tie away from home against a team from a higher division since 2011 and are chalked up as a chunky 14/1 (15.0) chance to claim a famous victory against the Foxes, while the odds compilers offer 5/1 (6.0) that the tie remains deadlocked at the end of normal time.

Team news

Jamie Vardy, who scored 31 goals in 36 games in his solitary season with Fleetwood Town in the National League before signing for Leicester City, but is set to face his former employers here after missing the stalemate in the north west through injury.

The hosts have no fresh concerns and Uwe Rosler should be able to select his strongest possible side as the Cod Army aim for a piece of FA Cup history.

The case for unders

There have been more than two goals scored inside normal time in just one of the last six FA Cup ties that the Foxes have played on their own turf, while Claude Puel’s charges have failed to find the net in either of their last two matches.

Foxes to ease through?

It is worth noting that Leicester have kept a clean sheet in four of the last five FA Cup ties that they have won on their own patch and, given the gulf between the teams, the 4/5 (1.80) quote from Betfair Sportsbook for history to repeat itself could well provide value again here.

Tips and predictions

Fleetwood are in fine form, but their best chance of knocking the Foxes out may have passed and value could lie in backing the Premier League side to win without conceding at 4/5 (1.80) with Betfair Sportsbook when these two teams meet in Tuesday’s FA Cup third round replay.
