Junior Ajayi is excited after making a goalscoring return for Al Ahly in their 2-1 win over Tanta in Monday’s Egypt Premier League outing.

Last week, the 22-year-old made his debut for the Nigeria national team against Serbia and on his return to his club, he scored to help Hossam El Badry’s men secure another victory.

Ajayi and Marwan Mohsen scored for the Red Devils with Mohamed Gaber netting a late minute consolation for the opponents.

Impressed by the display, the former CS Sfaxien player has taken to the social media to express his feeling.

“Coming from international friendly and continue to mark my register is the way and only way to go. Up Al Ahly,” Ajayi tweeted.

The forward has now scored nine goals in the top-flight this season and will be looking to continue the form when Al Ahly take on Smouha in their next league game on Sunday.

The Red Devils continue their domination on the league log with 78 points from 29 games, 19 points clear of second-placed Ismaily SC.
