South Korean national team bowed out of the World Cup after finishing third in Group F behind the likes of Sweden and Mexico.

However, they did so after inflicting a shock 2-0 defeat on defending champions Germany - a result which also knocked Joachim Low's team out of the World Cup. 

The star of the night for the South Korean team was their goalkeeper Hyun-Woo Jo, despite Son Heung-Min and Young-Gwon Kim netting the goals. The custodian was in terrific form under the bars, keeping a famed German attack at bay. 

The goalkeeper made six saves and two punches, while also claiming two high balls. The Korean custodian would surely be a happy man after a career-defining performance.

Ultimately, he helped Korea bow out of the World Cup on a high is rightly named as Goal's Asian Player of the Week!
