That's all for our live coverage, thanks for following along. Goodbye!
Liverpool come from behind at MetLife Stadium thanks to Sadio Mane's last-minute penalty, after Mohamed Salah's equaliser cancelled out Leroy Sane's opener. It was a justifiable reward for the Reds, who pushed the pace throughout the second half and asked all the questions following the introduction of Mane and Salah - their dynamic duo.
S. Mané
Penalty Goal
90' + 4' MANE WINS IT FOR LIVERPOOL! 2-1! No mistake from the Senegal international, who sends Hart the wrong way to seal Liverpool's first win at the International Champions Cup! City, meanwhile, are headed for a second successive defeat!
90' + 2' PENALTY TO LIVERPOOL! Well how's that for drama? A penalty at the death might be enough for this match to avoid going to penalties! Make sense? Good. It's clumsy from Adarabioyo, who crashes into the back of Solanke amidst a harmless moment, and the referee points straight to the spot!
90' Humphreys saves the day! Moreno clips a cross in this time, intended for Salah who would have had a simple tap-in at the far post, but Humphreys slides in to hook the ball clear in the nick of time! Can City hold on here? There will be three minutes added on for stoppage-time.
88' ANOTHER NEAR MISS! City's defence looking ragged as Mane is played through and rounds Hart, but the angle is just too tough for him to negotiate in the end as he drives an effort into the side-netting!
86' HE SHOULD HAVE FINISHED THAT! Mane has the game on his feet as he latches onto a cross at the far post, but drives his volley back across the face of goal and wide of the target! He could have won it!
C. Gomes
Yellow Card
85' A first yellow card for Manchester City as Gomes goes into the book.
83' EXCELLENT GOALKEEPING! A terrific throughball first and foremost from Mane to play in Salah, but Hart reads it brilliantly, sprinting off his line and out of the penalty area to slide in and clear the danger at the vital moment!
81' The resulting free-kick is squandered by Salah, who skies his effort from 19 yards. You don't see him pass up too many sights of goal!
80' Gomes gives possession away cheaply to Salah, who bursts forward. He just loses control but Solanke picks it up in stride, winning a free-kick right on the edge of the penalty area.
79' All signs pointing to penalties here as the match has become quite sluggish. There will be no extra-time, remember. It's straight to penalties if the match ends level after 90 minutes.
77' Following an incredibly frantic 10-minute spell, things have settled down again, with City aiming to suck the tempo out of the match a bit after coming under relentless pressure following the arrival of Salah.
B. Garré
L. Bolton
74' Bolton has put in a strong shift tonight but he gives way here, with Garre taking his place.
T. Dele-Bashiru
R. Mahrez
74' Another City change here sees Mahrez's night comes to an end, replaced by Dele-Bashiru.
72' Well this match certainly has sprung to life in the second half, following an opening 45 minutes that proved a hard watch. Much of that can be attributed to the arrivals of Mane, Salah, Sane and Bernardo Silva.
70' Four of Manchester City's last nine International Champions Cup matches have gone to penalties.
68' HE COULD HAVE A HAT-TRICK! Salah has been on for five minutes and he could have a hat-trick! He beats the offside trap here as he's sprung behind the defence, beating Hart with his effort but not the crossbar!
67' SALAH IS A CONSTANT THREAT TO SCORE! Lovely cross there from Mane to pick out Salah, who is inexplicably left unmarked at the far post, but he heads just wide!
N. Phillips
V. van Dijk
66' Phillips is also on to partner Klavan at the back, replacing Van Dijk.
J. Milner
66' More Liverpool changes here. Burgos replaces Milner in midfield.
65' The first of what we can only assume will be many for Salah this season, and that's exactly what these fans came to see. The massive Liverpool contingent met his arrival onto the pitch with a boisterous applause, and then woke up their neighbours in New York City with their cheers when he scored less than 60 seconds later!
Rafael Camacho
63' That was a terrific ball in from Camacho as well, who also just came on. The two substitutes linking up there for the equaliser.
Mohamed Salah
63' IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE, SALAH EQUALISES! 1-1! He's been on the pitch for less than a minute, and he's already on the scoresheet! There was a hint of offside in that, but it mattered little as he eluded his marker to head home from close range, sending this crowd into a frenzy!
P. Roberts
J. Harrison
62' City make a couple changes of their own, trying to keep up in that regard. Roberts comes on to take the place of Harrison.
T. Adarabioyo
O. Zinchenko
62' Zinchenko was quiet tonight and he gives way here for Adarabioyo.
Alberto Moreno
A. Robertson
62' Robertson gives way for Moreno on the left flank.
Rafael Camacho
62' And rounding out the changes, Camacho comes on for Fabio.
M. Grujić
N. Clyne
62' Clyne gives way for Grujic, who will deputise at right-back.
Mohamed Salah
C. Jones
62' Another plethora of changes from the Reds at the hour mark. Salah comes on to a loud roar of approval from these fans in New Jersey, replacing Jones.
59' Manchester City have avoided defeat in all seven of their International Champions Cup matches in which they've scored first, excluding penalties (W3, D4).
Bernardo Silva
57' Bernardo Silva picked out a wonderfully weighted ball there to invite Sane through on goal, and he's justly credited with the assist.
L. Sané
57' MANCHESTER CITY BREAK THE DEADLOCK! 1-0! An absolutely blistering display of pace from Sane who sprints beyond Van Dijk and Clyne to latch onto the end of Bernardo Silva's throughball, and tucks a delicious finish in at the far post! Germany sure could have used that in Russia...
56' After much deliberation it's Van Dijk who takes, but his effort clips off the well-placed wall and behind for a corner. The Dutch centre-half does well to rise and meet the resulting corner, knocking the ball on for Solanke who is able to convert from in close, but the offside flag is raised!
54' Free-kick Liverpool coming up in a very dangerous area as Mane wins a free-kick from just over 20 yards out. They will definitely fancy their chances of working Hart from this position...
52' MASSIVE CHANCE! Bolton shows excellent pace as he burns Fabinho on the right to sprint through into the danger area, before serving it up on a platter for Sane in the centre, but the winger is thwarted by Kelleher from point-blank range!
50' Important block! Klavan does well not to fall for the trickery of Sane on the left, sticking with the winger to block his path through on goal and deny him from threading a pass across the face of goal!
48' Nearly the opener! Chaos in the penalty area following a bit of pinball as Mane creates havoc, but just can't get a decisive enough touch as the danger is eventually cleared off the line!
C. Gomes
J. Denayer
46' Denayer gives way for Gomes.
L. Sané
L. Nmecha
46' Sane replaces Nmecha.
J. Hart
C. Bravo
46' Hart replaces Bravo in goal.
Bernardo Silva
Brahim Díaz
46' City bring on Bernardo Silva for Diaz.
R. Klavan
J. Gomez
46' Klavan comes on at centre-half in place of Gomez.
S. Mané
A. Lallana
46' Lallana gives way for Mane.
D. Solanke
D. Sturridge
46' Solanke will lead the line in this second half, as Sturridge gives way.
B. Woodburn
G. Wijnaldum
46' Woodburn is also on, in place of Wijnaldum.
C. Kelleher
L. Karius
46' Kelleher replaces Karius in goal at the break for Liverpool.
46' The second half is underway at MetLife Stadium!
A packed house at MetLife Stadium have had little to cheer about thus far as it remains goalless through 45 minutes, with neither side really doing enough to deserve the breakthrough. Manchester City certainly started the brighter of the two sides, headlined by Mahrez and Nmecha, but Liverpool have since turned it on to snatch the momentum before the break.
HALF-TIME: Manchester City 0-0 Liverpool.
45' There will be just one minute added on at the end of this first half...
44' PENALTY?! It certainly looked one as Humphreys clipped the ankle of Jones in the penalty area, but the referee again waves away claims! That's two very solid penalty shouts, one for each side, turned aside by the referee!
43' Should have been in! Most people inside the stadium were expecting the net to bulge there as Jones run in on the end of Clyne's delightful cross in from the right, but he lifts his header over the bar from point-blank range!
41' In 2017-18, Jurgen Klopp became the fourth manager to guide Liverpool to the European Cup/Champions League final, after Bob Paisley, Joe Fagan and Rafael Benitez.
39' Nmecha has had this Liverpool defence on their toes tonight as a result of his unique blend of pace and power. He forces Gomez into a foul here, winning a free-kick in Mahrez territory, but the Algerian's free-kick is straight at Karius.
37' Has to be better! Sturridge pulls away from his marker inside the penalty area and is all alone as the ball falls kindly for Wijnaldum, but the Dutchman doesn't spot his team-mate as he opts to go for goal himself, wildly lashing a volley over the goal!
35' A worrying sight here as Klopp's jaw actually drops, as the manager stares open-mouthed as Sturridge goes down injured. It doesn't appear to be serious, but given the striker's injury history this will obviously be a concern for the Reds.
33' Not far away! Lallana has hardly been involved thus far but he nearly breaks the deadlock with an improvised finish, clipping an effort narrowly wide of the far post on the end of a rare Liverpool corner. Bravo was scrambling there, unsure if it was headed in.
31' Awfully ambitious from Zinchenko from the resulting free-kick as he blasts an effort over the bar from 35 yards. You can't fault the man for trying, though - this match needs a jolt of life and that certainly would have helped liven things up!
V. van Dijk
Yellow Card
30' You won't see many bookings over the course of this preseason tournament, but the referee shows no mercy to Van Dijk for clipping the heels of Mahrez, as the Dutchman goes into the book.
29' In eight all-time matches at the International Champions Cup, Liverpool have failed to score just once - in a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea in July 2016.
27' PENALTY APPEALS DENIED! Robertson had a look of guilt stamped on his face after dragging down Bolton in the penalty area, but the referee doesn't see enough to give the penalty! The City full-back is in disbelief as the Reds are awarded a goal-kick, on the end of his penetrating run.
24' City look by far the more assured side in possession, imposing themselves well in midfield. They definitely look to have a better understanding on the ball, whereas Liverpool seem to be knocking it about aimlessly.
22' This is by no means a slouch lineup trotted out there by Klopp tonight, but they've shown absolutely nothing to please the boss thus far. Could it be a case of rust? Perhaps a lack of desire? Or maybe they don't want to give much away tactically to one of their Premier League rivals...
20' Denayer was purchased by Manchester City in 2013, but has yet to appear in a competitive match for the club, spending time on loan with Celtic, Galatasaray and Sunderland.
18' CLOSER! City are knocking on the door! It's Foden's turn to deliver this time, bending a delicious cross in from the left, which only just eludes Denayer at the far post! All it needed was a touch!
16' Karius is called into action once again, this time coming off his line to punch clear a Mahrez free-kick, which was whipped in invitingly from the right flank. Liverpool have showed next to nothing thus far and could very well find themselves behind soon if they're not careful.
14' Harrison makes a lovely dart forward for City before being fouled by Fabinho, but the ensuing free-kick from Mahrez is clipped over everyone's head and out of play. City are showing all the initiative at the moment, despite a much weaker side than that which has been fielded by Klopp.
12' BIG SAVE! Mahrez had been staved up to this point so he drops deeper to get on the ball and puts in a smart, probing run before picking out a clever ball for Nmecha, who sees his effort parried by Karius, before Fabinho knocks the rebound behind for a corner, denying the City forward a sure goal on the follow-up!
9' Perhaps it can be attributed to the fact that it's still early in the preseason, but the lack of rhythm in this match is very apparent. Neither side has offered much in possession, struggling to get a sniff of the final third.
7' Liverpool have failed to win all three of their International Champions Cup matches against English opposition (excluding penalties).
5' City have enjoyed the greater share of possession in these early stages, though there's been little attacking threat posed by them, as they've barely broken out of their own half. There's not much tempo right now, as the two sides look to be trying to get their footing in the match.
3' It will be worth keeping an eye on the pitch tonight, with both managers not too happy with the quality of the grass which has been laid down here over top of the artificial turf. There's yellow dead spots all over the ground - far from aesthetically pleasing.
1' AND THEY'RE OFF! "You'll Never Walk Alone" echoes through the stands as Manchester City get the match underway, in their dark-blue strip, with Liverpool in red.
Naby Keita misses out tonight with a sore neck, but new recruit Fabinho is in the side, joining Milner and Wijnaldum in midfield, while Lallana and Jones flank striker Sturridge. Salah and Mane are both on the bench tonight and could make their first appearances of the preseason.
Mahrez once again features in an otherwise young and inexperienced Manchester City side, as Pep Guardiola continues to take a look at his youth players, with most of his regulars still on vacation following the World Cup.

Of course the teams that take the pitch tonight will look a lot different than those which will feature on August 12 – Liverpool against West Ham and Manchester City at Arsenal – but that shouldn’t take away from the competitive value in this match as players fight for their place in the squad.
Manchester City have made very minor tweaks to their already outstanding squad, but they have a target on their backs after last season’s success, and Liverpool are gunning for it, making quite a splash in the transfer window.
In just over two weeks – 16 days to be exact – the 2018/19 Premier League season will get underway, and both these teams will be disappointed in anything less than a title-winning campaign.
This venue houses the National Football League’s New York Giants, and that’s quite fitting as two of the Premier League’s giants grace the home of the 2011 Super Bowl champions.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of this International Champions Cup match as Manchester City take on Liverpool at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey!
