Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
Chelsea will face Manchester City in the Champions League final on May 29 in Istanbul. The Blues face Pep Guardiola's team in the Premier League at the weekend on the road. Real Madrid must overcome their loss to focus on their LaLiga title challenge at home to Sevilla on Sunday.
Chelsea advance to the Champions League final for the third time in their history by defeating Real Madrid 2-0 this evening, securing a 3-1 aggregate win. Goals from Timo Werner and Mason Mount were enough to send the Blues through where they will aim to win the competition for a second time and first since 2012. Los Blancos were lacklustre and failed to put the home side under sufficient pressure, allowing them to progress with relative ease.

K. Havertz
90' + 4' Giroud comes on for Havertz, who on another day could have had a hat-trick.
90' + 3' James pulls the trigger on a low strike at goal, but his right-footed effort travels just wide of the left post.
90' + 1' At 22 years and 15 days Mount is the second-youngest Englishman to score in the semi-finals of the Champions League, after Wayne Rooney (21y 182d vs Milan).
90' There will be four minutes of added time.

M. Mount
Yellow Card
87' Mount catches Militao late and goes into the book.
C. Pulisic
85' Pulisic collects Kante's pass and surges into the right-inside channel. The American holds his nerve and takes his time to pick out Mount to score.
M. Mount
85' GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! MOUNT SURELY SENDS CHELSEA THROUGH!!!! 2-0!!!!!! The Blues are on course to reach the Champions League final as Mount converts on the slide. Kante steals possession from Nacho and releases Pulisic. The American twists and turns in the right-inside channel before he sends a cutback for Mount. The England man stretches and steers his strike into the top-right corner.
84' Los Blancos come forward again and Nacho takes possession, but on this occasion he loops his delivery out for a goal-kick.
83' Nacho hangs a dangerous cross into the Chelsea box from the left flank, but Rudiger is well placed to clear ahead of Rodrygo.
81' WIDE! Havertz and Kante combine in the final third to find Pulisic. The American goes for the quick strike from amid pressure from Ramos, but he drags his effort wide of the target.
79' Benzema fends off Thiago Silva and turns with menace in the final third. However, Jorginho gets back to dispossess the Frenchman before he can threaten.
77' Pulisic drops his shoulder to surge past Nacho and he fires a dangerous low ball across the face of goal. Havertz stretches out a boot in the middle, but it agonsingly evades his boot.
76' Casemiro is withdrawn for the visitors as Rodrygo replaces the midfielder. Zidane has to go for it at this stage.
74' WIDE! Mount curls in a dangerous cross from the right flank for Thiago Silva to attack. The defender makes glancing contact with his header, but he can only steer his effort wide of the left post.
T. Kroos
Yellow Card
72' Kroos makes a lunge and brings down Pulisic and goes into the book.
70' Pulisic charges down the right flank and floats a cross into the box after skipping away from Nacho, but his delivery is claimed on the stretch by Courtois.
69' Hazard is surrounded in the centre circle and loses out to Kante, but the referee blows for a foul. Tuchel and his team are incensed.
C. Pulisic
T. Werner
67' Werner has put Chelsea in front on the night and his job is done as Pulisic replaces the German.
66' MISS! Chelsea should be out of sight. Werner leads a break out from the back and he runs the length of the pitch before offloading into the feet of Kante in the left-inside channel. The midfielder shoots first time, but Valverde blocks his strike with a late stretch.
64' SAVE! Hazard latches on to a loose ball in the right-inside channel and drills a low strike at goal that is saved the legs of Mendy. Madrid come to life at last.
Vinícius Júnior
63' Asensio comes on to the field to replace Vinicius in the final third.
F. Valverde
F. Mendy
63' Mendy is withdrawn by Zidane and is replaced by Valverde.
Yellow Card
62' Nacho brings down Havertz on the right flank and goes into the book. There's a little bit of afters between the duo before Azpilicueta intervenes.
59' SAVE! Havertz misses a great opportunity from close range to put the Blues in complete command. A simple ball over the top from Mount allows Havertz to raid through on goal. He only has to beat Courtois, but the Belgian sticks out a leg to deny the forward.
56' Tuchel is unbeaten in his last 83 home games in all competitions when leading at half-time (W79 D4). His last defeat was in Feb 2013 with Mainz against Freiburg in the DFB-Pokal.
54' Chelsea have dominated the second half and have had great chances to effectively kill off the game, but they've not been clinical enough. Will they come to rue these missed opportunities.
53' CHANCE! Mount opens up the Madrid defence as he combines with Werner in the final third. The England man surges through a chasm in the Los Blancos line, but he blasts his right-footed strike over the bar. He had to keep his composure.
51' OVER! Chelsea win a free-kick down the left flank as Vinicius brings down Chilwell. The left-back lifts a cross into the box for Thiago Silva to attack, but he plants his header over the bar.
49' Chilwell has room down the left flank, but his arcing cross is headed clear by Nacho away from the lurking presence of Havertz at the back post.
47' OFF THE BAR! Havertz comes so close to putting Chelsea beyond the reach of Madrid. Azpilicueta lifts a precise cross in from the right flank and Havertz rises to connect with a header. His effort travels towards goal, but the ball cannons off the bar and bounces over.
46' We're back underway in this Champions League semi-final contest.
Benzema has looked dangerous when his team-mates have picked him out in the final third. Mendy has had to be outstanding to deny the Frenchman on two occasions. Madrid are going to have to take more risks to create further opportunities, although that will leave them exposed at the back. A thrilling 45 minutes awaits.
Chelsea are 45 minutes away from reaching the Champions League final courtesy of Timo Werner's strike. The Blues came into the contest against Real Madrid this evening with an away goal advantage. However, Werner's close-range header after Kai Havertz's header struck the bar has strengthened their position. Edouard Mendy has been called into action twice to deny Karim Benzema at the other end, but Madrid will have to improve in the second half to avoid a last-four exit.
45' + 1' HALF-TIME: CHELSEA 1-0 REAL MADRID (agg 2-1)
45' + 1' There is no time for the corner as the referee ends the first half.
45' Chelsea continue to have space on the counter. Havertz runs at Ramos rather than squaring a pass for Werner or Chilwell. The Madrid defender wins the duel, knocking the ball out for a corner.
43' Mount has space to roam down the left flank and he cuts inside to shoot. Casemiro and Ramos converge to block his effort before Werner tries to hook the rebound towards goal. Courtois watches it all the way to claim the ball.
40' Werner makes a good break in the final third and combines with Mount. The German tries to find Havertz, but sees his offload intercepted by Ramos.

38' Ramos has more yellow cards than any other player in Champions League history (38).
Sergio Ramos
Yellow Card
37' Ramos throws Azpilicueta to the ground in the Chelsea box as he tries to attack a cross and is booked by the referee.
35' SAVE! Benzema gets the wrong side of Rudiger to latch on to a sublime cross from Modric. However, Mendy is on the spot once more to deny the Frenchman, turning his close-range header over the bar.
32' Rudiger wins the ball in the middle of the park and offloads to Werner. The defender continues his surge forwards into the Madrid box, but his compatriot fails to pick him out with a low cross.
31' The formula has not changed for Madrid despite the Chelsea goal. Los Blancos still need to find an away goal this evening.
30' Werner has scored his first Champions League goal in open play since September 2019, ending a run of 17 games without one.
T. Werner
28' GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!! WERNER HEADS HOME!!!!!! 1-0 CHELSEA!!!!!! The Blues take the lead on the night as Werner is on hand to nod a close-range effort into the back of the net. Kante opens up the Madrid defence with a great turn in the final third. He plays a on-two with Werner before releasing the run of Havertz. The German clips a left-footed strike over the top of Courtois, only to see his attempt hit the bar. However, Werner is alert and heads a simple finish in from two yards.
26' SAVE! Benzema comes inches away from finding the back of the net, but the hand of Mendy denies the forward. The Frenchman makes a neat turn on the edge of the box to find space away from Thiago Silva. He bends a powerful drive towards the bottom-right corner, but Mendy produces a brilliant stop to turn his effort past the post.
25' Jorginho tries to bend a ball over the top for Werner, but Casemiro tracks his run and heads away from danger. The Brazilian had to make that intervention.
23' Vinicius swings a cross to the back post with his left foot from the right flank. Benzema tries to rise, but the presence of Azpilicueta denies the forward and Chelsea get a goal-kick.
21' Chilwell makes an interception in the Chelsea box, but loses the ball forward to Militao. The Brazilian tries to release Vinicius in the right-inside channel, but Rudiger gets across to intervene.
18' DISALLOWED GOAL! Werner converts from close range from Chilwell's cross, but the flag goes up immediately for offside. The German is beyond the last defender quite comfortably as he failed to drag back his run in time.
17' Space opens up for Modric to have a drive at goal, but he sends a tame effort straight into the arms of Mendy.
16' Chilwell sends an offload inside for Werner, who takes a dangerous touch before firing a low ball across the face of goal. Nacho does well to deny Havertz in the middle, earning a free-kick in the process of making his clearance.
Yellow Card
14' Jorginho sends a poor cross into the Madrid box and has to bring down Hazard to prevent a counter from the visitors. He is the first man booked.
13' Courtois has to act at his near post for the visitors, sticking out a boot to divert Mount's dangerous low cross away from Werner.
12' SAVE! Rudiger goes for a shot to nothing from distance and the swerving strike forces Courtois into a stop, punching the ball away from danger.
10' SHOT! Madrid work the ball around the Chelsea half with precision, putting together at least 20 passes before Kroos lines up a drive. The German sends his effort towards goal, but it lacks the power to trouble Mendy, who makes a low stop.
8' Chilwell wins the ball in the final third and feeds Werner. The forward tries to surge past Ramos in the left-inside channel, but the defender does just enough to fend him off and allow Courtois to collect.
7' Havertz catches Nacho late on the ankle, sending the Spaniard to the deck in agony. Chelsea have been throwing their weight around in challenges.
5' Kroos swings a cross into the box from the left flank, but Christensen is well placed to clear the danger for the home side.
4' Kante brings down Kroos on the left flank with a late challenge, but avoids a booking.
3' Werner tries to break in behind the Madrid defence from Chilwell's ball over the top, but the German is caught offside.
1' We're underway at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea will face Real Madrid for the fifth time in European competition, while they are unbeaten against them in the previous four (W2 D2). This will be the first time across the five meetings that Chelsea have hosted the Spanish side.
Zidane makes a huge call by bringing Ramos back into the side after he recovered from a calf problem that ruled him out for a month. The Spaniard's presence is required as Raphael Varane is absent with a thigh injury. Nacho and Mendy start in the full-back slots, while Kroos and Modric return to the midfield alongside Casemiro. Hazard starts against his former club in the final third with Vinicius and Benzema.
Chelsea have made four changes to their side that defeated Fulham last time out. Rudiger comes back into the side at the back in place of Zouma, who drops to the bench. Kante and Jorginho are restored to the middle of the park, while Azpilicueta gets the nod over James at right wing-back. The biggest decision comes in the final third where Havertz is retained ahead of Pulisic, despite the American's strike last week.
REAL MADRID SUBS: Marco Asensio, Marcelo, Andriy Lunin, Federico Valverde, Alvaro Odriozola, Isco, Mariano Diaz, Rodrygo Silva, Diego Altube, Sergio Arribas, Antonio Blanco, Miguel Gutierrez.
REAL MADRID (4-3-3): Thibaut Courtois; Nacho Fernandez, Eder Militao, Sergio Ramos, Ferland Mendy; Luka Modric, Casemiro, Toni Kroos; Eden Hazard, Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior.
CHELSEA SUBS: Kepa Arrizabalaga, Marcos Alonso, Tammy Abraham, Christian Pulisic, Willy Caballero, Kurt Zouma, Olivier Giroud, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Hakim Ziyech, Billy Gilmour, Reece James, Emerson.
CHELSEA (3-4-3): Edouard Mendy; Andreas Christensen, Thiago Silva, Antonio Rudiger; Cesar Azpilicueta, N'Golo Kante, Jorginho, Ben Chilwell; Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, Timo Werner.
Real Madrid were not at their best last week, but still managed to secure a draw out of the contest. Los Blancos need to be better this evening in the final third, knowing that they have to score to advance to the final. Zinedine Zidane's men have won the Champions League in four out of the last seven years, and are bidding to reach a record-breaking 17th final. Their form has been up and down of late, but a victory over Osasuna at the weekend sends them into the contest with momentum.
Chelsea begin the evening with an away goal advantage courtesy of Christian Pulisic's strike in the 1-1 draw in Madrid last week. The Blues were solid last week and arguably should have taken a lead back to Stamford Bridge. However, Thomas Tuchel and his men are well placed to reach the final for a third time and first since their triumph in 2012. The Blues are in good form and will be confident, having dispatched Fulham 2-0 in their last outing.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the second leg Champions League semi-final clash between Chelsea and Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge.
