GOAL predicts how the Black Stars might line up against the Taegeuk Warriors at Education City Stadium

Ghana are set to go head-to-head with South Korea in the 2022 Fifa World Cup Group H match on Monday.

The Black Stars kicked off their campaign with a 3-2 defeat against Portugal while the Taegeuk Warriors managed a 0-0 draw against Uruguay.

GOAL predicts coach Otto Addo's starting line-up as they search for their first win in Qatar.

  • Ghana goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi

    GOALKEEPER - Lawrence Ati-Zigi

Despite conceding three goals against Portugal, the 25-year-old Ati-Zigi did his part to keep the Black Stars in the game and he will likely keep the spot ahead of Ibrahim Danlad and Abdul Manaf Nurudeen.

  • Alidu Seidu of Ghana.

    RIGHT-BACK - Alidu Seidu

The Clermont defender was deployed at right-back against the Selecao ahead of Tariq Lamptey of Brighton & Hove Albion. Coach Addo will most likely keep him in the team against South Korea.

  • DF_Baba Rahman

    LEFT-BACK - Baba Rahman

The 28-year-old Rahman, who features for Reading on loan from Chelsea, was at fault to let in Joao Felix to score Portugal's second goal.

He had a 4.8 Opta rating, the lowest of any player in the game, and despite the error, Addo will likely stick with him for the clash against South Korea.

  • Daniel Amartey Qatar 2022

    CENTRAL DEFENDER - Daniel Amartey

The Leicester City defender did well to cover keeper Ati-Zigi and he will likely play alongside Mohammed Salisu.

  • Mohammed Salisu, Cristiano Ronaldo

    CENTRAL DEFENDER - Mohammed Salisu

The Southampton defender was adjudged to have brought Ronaldo down in the box for Portugal's opening goal and was at fault for the second after losing his marker.

Salisu will have to up his game if Ghana are to get something from the South Korea game.

  • Thomas Partey against Portugal in Qatar 2022

    CENTRAL MIDFIELDER - Thomas Partey

The Arsenal midfielder was not at his usual best against Portugal as he failed to dictate the game like he usually does at the Premier League outfit.

However, Addo will most likely retain him as the Black Stars look to win their first group game.

  • Salis Abdul Samed

CENTRAL MIDFIELDER - Salis Abdul Samed

The 22-year-old Samed, who plays for Lens in Ligue 1, gave a good account of himself especially when Partey went missing and he could get another chance to partner the Arsenal midfielder.

  • 20221124_Andre Ayew_Ghana

    ATTACKING MIDFIELDER - Andre Ayew

The Black Stars captain levelled matters for Ghana after Ronaldo had put Portugal ahead from the penalty spot and he will get another chance to add to his tally of goals at the global competition.

  • Jordan Ayew

    RIGHT FORWARD: Jordan Ayew

The 31-year-old Jordan came in for his brother Andre Ayew in the 77th minute against Portugal and he had little time to make an impact.

With Ghana needing goals, Addo could hand him a start against South Korea.

  • Andre Ayew and Mohammed Kudus of Ghana

    LEFT FORWARD - Mohammed Kudus

The Ajax attacker had replaced Jordan Ayew against Portugal and he stepped in well setting up Ghana's opener scored by Andre Ayew.

He also had a couple of chances to score which went begging and is a sure bet to face South Korea.

  • Inaki Williams Ghana 2022

    CENTRE FORWARD - Inaki Williams

The 28-year-old Williams was not at his usual best against Portugal as he cut a lonely figure upfront. Addo will have to devise ways to use the Athletic Bilbao forward against South Korea.
