Aduana Stars striker Yahaya Mohammed is confident that the club will turn their fortunes around in the second round of the Ghana Premier League.

The reigning champions are enduring a tough time this term, a situation that currently sees them third from bottom on the table.

Many have attributed the club's woes to the challenge of defending their title alongside playing in Africa, but Yahaya reckons their poor form is just a normal football phase.

“Is not a big problem, even clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona struggle whenever they win the league in the previous season," Yahaya said, as reported by Footballmadeinghana.

"We are working hard to turn things around and defend our title.

"We the senior players in the team are trying very hard to talk to the young players in the team not to lose hope.

"Some of us have experienced some of these things.

"This is the time the young ones will need us in order not to lose hope.

"I’m confident we can bounce back."

Out of 12 league games played thus far, Aduana have won four games, drawing two and losing six.

Their performance in the Caf Confederation Cup group stage has not been the best too, having lost one (away) and drawn the other (home) of two games played thus far.
