When did Jose Mourinho last win a trophy? Former Spurs & Man Utd manager's silverware record

Jose Mourinho's reputation as one of the most formidable managers in world football has been slightly tarnished over the years, as his dismissal from Tottenham just a year-and-a-half into his tenure was another blow to his legacy.

The former Porto, Chelsea, Inter, Real Madrid and Manchester United boss is a proven winner, though, and is back in the hunt for major silverware in his latest post at Serie A giants Roma.

Here, GOAL has all you need to know about the last time that an enigmatic Portuguese tactician managed to lift a trophy.

What was the last trophy Mourinho won?

The last trophy that Mourinho won was the 2021-22 Europa Conference League with Roma.

The Giallorossi overcame Feyenoord in the inaugural final of a new competition ahead to the continental schedule by UEFA.

One goal was all that the Serie A heavyweights required in order to get the job done in Tirana, with some dogged defending against Dutch opposition typifying what Mourinho sides are all about.

Nicolo Zaniolo was the hero for Roma at Arena Kombetare, with his 32nd-minute strike – which was bundled home from close range – proving to be the difference on the day.

That success means that Mourinho boasts a complete collection of European medals, having previously savoured Champions League and Europa League success.

He has also brought a five-year wait for major honours to a close, with a personal drought ended in style during his debut campaign with Roma.

A Europa League triumph with Manchester United in 2016-17 had represented the last entry on his distinguished roll of honour, with three trophies secured during his first season at Old Trafford.

He was unable to keep the Red Devils in contention for prestigious prizes and was sacked in his next role at Tottenham a matter of days before another success-starved club took on Manchester City in the 2021 Carabao Cup final – a game Spurs would go on to lose 1-0.

Mourinho is now very much back in the groove, having delivered a first major continental honour for Roma, and will be hoping to continue silencing any doubters in the years to come.
