As the CONIFA tournament draws to a close, the competition which champions states, minorities, stateless peoples and regions has proven that football transcends more than politics and borders.

The final, which takes place on Saturday 9th June between Northern Cyprus and Kárpátalja will be the culmination of just over a week's worth of games which have captured the imagination. 

Whereas most people have been gearing up to see the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo at the World Cup, those who have tuned in have been treated to some wonderstrikes from players that no one would have ever heard of.
