Arturo Vidal kept Barcelona in the fight for this season's La Liga title, scoring the only goal as Quique Setien's side edged past Real Valladolid on Saturday.
The Chilean midfielder latched onto Lionel Messi's dinked pass to net his eighth goal of the campaign, and in doing so stretched Barca's unbeaten run to 10 matches; seven of which ended in victory for the Blaugrana.
Elsewhere, Edu Exposito assured Eibar of their place in La Liga next season with a two-goal salvo against already relegated Espanyol.
While in the Spanish capital, Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa rose from the bench to claim all three points for Diego Simeone's side over Real Betis, who recently appointed Manuel Pellegrini as their new manager.
