Ulinzi Stars wrapped up their preparation for the  up the FKF Shield opening game against Transmillan FC with a 2-1 win over National Super League (NSL) side Nakuru AllStars.

Ulinzi Stars will be traveling Kitale for the Saturday’s clash and ahead of the journey; goals from Oscar Wamalwa and Masita Masuta set the team in the right mood for the weekend game.

The performance comes against the backdrop of a disappointing 2-1 lose to Sofapaka in the last KPL match at the Afraha Stadium.

Coach Dunstan Nyaudo is expected to call on his key players for the match against Transmillan despite the difference in experience between the two sides.

“Like I said before, we are taking this competition very seriously; our preparations have been good and heading there, we don’t know much about our opponents so we will not take chances in this game.

"All my players are fit enough and I will be picking my strongest team for the game,” Nyaudo told the club website.

The clash will be staged at Kenyatta Stadium in Kitale starting 3.15pm.
