After an outstanding first season in the A-League with Perth Glory, Jason Davidson has seemingly caught the attention of a European heavyweight.
According to Turkish outlet Spor Arena, Super Lig side Besiktas have identified the fringe Socceroo as an off-season transfer target.
Davidson was key to Glory's success this season, picking up six assists and adding two goals across his 28 appearances with Graham Arnold admitting he was close to a national-team recall.
The 27-year-old did sign a one-year contract extension with Tony Popovic's side in March but if Besiktas did come calling both parties may struggle to say no if the right deal is put on the table.
The 15-time Super Lig winners finished this season in third, four points shy of eventual winners Galatasaray, but a position that guarantees them a spot in the Europa League group stages.
Davidson himself is no stranger to European football having previously played in Portugal, Holland, England, Croatia and Slovenia.
Fellow Australian left-back Aziz Behich recently sealed a return to Turkey with İstanbul Basaksehir after struggling for game time with PSV this season.
