Hearts of Oak striker Aboubacar Traore is delighted by his first goal for the club.

The Burkinabe was on cloud nine over the weekend as his 37th minute effort helped the Phobians to a 1-1 draw against leaders Medeama in the Ghana Premier League.

He has made five appearances involving three starts so far for the 20-time champions.

"I am happy to score my first goal for Hearts," Traore told his club's official website.

"It is something I have been working on and I am just happy that the ball went in for me.

"I will continue working hard to score for the team.

"I was brought to Ghana to come and score goals and it takes a lot of hard work to put the ball at the back of the net.

"I got some other chances [against Medeama] I should have scored but I am not down.

"I am only down that we did not get the three points."

Traore will hope to register consecutive goals for Hearts when they next play reigning champions Aduana Stars in an outstanding league fixture.

The Phobians currently sit one place above the relegation zone.
