GAME PREVIEW

Juventus celebrating

Spurs will be looking to get their Wembley monkey off their back before the 2017-18 Premier League campaign begins, as they prepare for their first league campaign away from White Hart Lane.

The north London club's poor record at the national stadium has been well documented, and while the result against the Italian champions on Saturday means little in terms of overall gain, it will provide hope for supporters that the club can in fact settle into their temporary home ahead of the season.

All the latest transfer news and rumours

Spurs started their pre-season camp with a 4-2 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the International Champions Cup, before conceding six in their next two outings.

Pochettino's side lost 3-2 to Roma, before Manchester City beat them 3-0 in their final ICC fixture.

Juventus, who also competed in the ICC pre-season tournament, will use the tie as a final run out before tackling Lazio in the Super Cup final on August 13.

Chiellini, Sami Khedira and Douglas Costa are likely to be recalled to Max Allegri's starting XI having been used as substitutes in the club's 1-1 with Roma last week, while new signing Federico Bernardeschi could be handed his first unofficial start for the Turin side.

Tottenham and Juventus met last summer in an ICC tie which resulted in the Italian side winning 2-1, and while neither side will care too much about the final result at Wembley on Saturday, both managers will be looking for a psychological victory ahead of the new campaign.
