It's understood Okon is keen for Santalab to spearhead the Mariners attack next campaign - and also take on a coaching role within the club.

Santalab has been a bit-part player for the Wanderers this season, scoring three goals in 19 appearances with only six starts.

The Wollongong-born product enjoyed his best campaign for the red and black last season, hitting the back of the net 14 times and clinching the club's player of the year award.
