Techiman City president has announced that the club will no longer take part in the ongoing Ghana Special Competition following a poor financial situation.
The club has been competing in Zone One of the lower tier division of the Special Competition.
Charles Kwadwo Ntim revealed last week that his side was in dire financial straits and could abandon the current campaign if no assistance came from the Normalisation Committee.
"I played my last match yesterday (Sunday). I can't continue playing the NC special competition because I don't have money to continue," Ntim told Happy FM.
"I have had a meeting with Dr Kofi Amoah, Lucy Quist, Alex Asante and Samuel Osei Kuffour about financial support but nothing is coming out of it so I have quit the competition."
Techiman City’s troubles were aggravated after they were docked points for failing to honour matchday nine fixture against Tamale City FC.
