Former Kenyan Premier League champions Sofapaka have parted ways with defender Jonathan Mugubi.
The team is keen on restructuring for the new season, bringing in players who will help the side perform better in the top tier.
Coach Sam Ssimbwa says the decision has been reached to accomodate another foreigner in the team.
"We have released Mugubi, but it was through a mutual consent. Remember we cannot have more than five foreign players in the team and after long discussions, we decided to release him. He is a good player though and we wish him all the best," Ssimbwa told Goal.
Wesley Onguso is another defender who has left Batoto ba Mungu and signed for Gor Mahia.
