What a performance from the Aussie midfielder!

Nearly 12 months since his last goal for Huddersfield, Aaron Mooy has scored twice against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday in a 2-0 win that pulls the Terriers out of the Premier League relegation zone.

After playing both games for the Socceroos during the international break, the Aussie took just six minutes to strike against Wolves as he opened the scoring with a side-footed effort from outside the box.

With Huddersfield dominating for large patches, Mooy would seal the result in 74th minute as he picked out the bottom right with a dipping free-kick that curled around the wall.

Mooy's decisive double handed the Terriers their first away win of the season and second victory overall as they went from last to 14th in the Premier League.

Huddersfield coach David Wagner paying special praise to his side's match winner after the game.

"Aaron Mooy is a top class player, he has this calmness on the ball," Wagner told Match of the Day.

"His decision making was great. You will rarely find a player with such good technique and vision who is prepared to work so hard for the team."

Mooy's brace is the first time any Terriers player has scored more than one goal in the same Premier League match since he himself did so against Watford back in December 2017.
