AFC Leopards won the FKF Shield after defeating Kariobangi 2-0 in the 2017 finals

AFC Leopards will be playing minnows Rainforest FC in the round of 32 in the ongoing FKF Shield competition.

The defending champions progressed after downing Shabana 2-1 in the previous round.

Speaking ahead of the match, Ingwe captain Duncan Otieno says the team is ready to play the Naivasha-based side, but will not underrate them.

“We are coming into the match as favourites, but it does not mean we will not give our best. We have seen big teams getting eliminated by the so-called underdogs, and if we are not careful, the same might happen to us.

"We have to respect our opponents because going with a bad mentality could be a big blow."

Leopards won the 2017 edition after defeating Kariobangi 2-0 in the finals staged at the Moi Sports Centre, Kasarani.
