Plateau United’s Golbe insists Lobi Stars draw was tough

Plateau United ’s defender Elisha Golbe admits their tie against Lobi Stars was not an easy one.

The Peace Boys held their hosts to a goalless draw on Sunday and are still top of the Nigeria Professional Football League table leading second-placed MFM with three points.

“It was our determination to end our recent struggles on the road. We have lost our recent away matches by the slightest of margin and losing again in Makurdi won’t have come well for us at all. We wanted to go home with the three points but told ourselves that we shall try not to get beaten there the same way they prevented us from getting a win before our fans,” Golbe told Goal .

“We knew we had to fight to get a point in Makurdi because we agreed among ourselves that we won’t allow them to beat us since they denied us the three points in Jos and we stuck to the plans from the beginning to the season.”
