Phil Foden has broken a Champions League record as the teenage sensation was selected to start Manchester City's clash against Basel.
With City defending a comfortable 4-0 lead at the Etihad Stadium, Pep Guardiola has taken the opportunity to rotate his ranks in the second leg.
And one of the new faces given the chance to shine is Foden who, at 17, makes his eighth appearance of the season.
Foden in turn becomes the youngest Englishman ever to start a Champions League knockout game, taking the record from a player formerly of City's biggest rivals.
Kieran Richardson had previously set the mark when he played for Manchester United in March 2003 at 18, curiously enough also against Basel.
Overall, meanwhile, the England youth international enters the list in sixth place.
Bojan Krkic took the field for Barcelona against Schalke in April 2008 aged just 17 years and 217 days, 67 days younger than Foden.
Julian Draxler and David Alaba also make the top five, as do the rather lesser known Martin Klein and Kai Havertz, who played for Sparta Prague and Bayer Leverkusen respectively.
