Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Paul Nkata has revealed the reason behind his team's embarrassing defeat against Nakumatt.
The Western-based side fell 6-1 against the Shoppers, arguably the biggest defeat in the Kenyan Premier League so far this season. The Ugandan tactician has told Goal that the players did not have time to rest, and that contributed to the loss.
“You see, we arrived late in Nairobi, that is on Saturday night, and our game was in the morning. It definitely affected us, because players did not get time to rest leave alone training or preparing for the match. In such circumstances, it is hard.
“We however, take the result, it is an eye opener and we will have to go and rectify where we went wrong,” Nkata told Goal.
Nkata took over from Mike Mururi as the head coach of the team, and he is barely a month old at the club.
