Kangemi All-Stars stretched their unbeaten run to five matches after they narrowly edged out Kisumu All-Stars 1-0 on Sunday.
Albert Onywera’s lone goal from the spot in the first half saw Kangemi bag all three points to follow up a 4-2 win over Isibania in their last match.
Kangemi consequently occupies 10th place following the win, with 21 points from 15 matches. Kisumu All-Stars, meanwhile, is sixth with 25 points.
At the Mbaraki Sports Club, hosts Coast Stima held league leaders Western Stima to a 2-2 draw. Johanna Mwita and Geoffrey Were had given the guests a 2-0 halftime lead.
Erick Ombija would, however, half the deficit in the 55th minute before Erick Chivatsi scored a last-gasp goal from the spot to ensure a share of the spoils.
Nairobi Stima also registered a 5-1 win over Administration Police while at the Bukhungu Stadium, KCB bounced back from back to back defeats when they edged out Green Commandos 1-0.
Four more matches will be played on Monday, May 7, 2018, with the highlight being a doubleheader at Camp Toyoyo.
Nairobi City Stars, fresh from a 3-2 come from behind upset of favorites KCB, will host a wounded Kenya Police in the first match, set to kick off at 1 pm.
