Having joined Malaysia Super League side Selangor last week, 32-year old Spanish forward Rufino Segovia del Burgo has set no personal target for himself.

When met by Goal on Monday, the former Atletico Madrid player said that he finds the Red Giants a good side, and his main attention is helping his new club in the Super League and the Malaysia Cup, in the second half of the season.

"I don't think about the goals, I think about the team. We need to win many matches, and fight in the league and the cup.

"It's difficult for us to win the league now, maybe we can go for the second or third place.

"Our objective now is to win the cup. The goals will come," explained the former Kitchee SC player.

He also said that his age will not affect his contribution to the team, when inquired.

"If I think about this, I'd (better) go home. I'm here for one chance, I want to play in a better league.

"For me, everytime I need to do better. I like competing with the team and the players, and I'm happy to be here," said Rufino .

When asked by us about his take on undergoing training at night during the current fasting month, Rufino admitted finding it a little strange, but faces no problem adapting to the change.

Domestic football competitions in Malaysia take a month-long break during the Ramadan fasting month every year, as a majority of the Muslim-majority population, including the players, fast during the day, with training sessions conducted later in the evening.

"I have rarely trained at night previously, most training sessions I have undergone (with previous clubs) were in the morning.

"But I know it's very hot here, maybe it's better for the players to train at night.

"But it's okay, no problem for me to train at night," he said.
