'Nigeria want to be part of 2019 Africa Cup of Nations', says Moses Simon

Moses Simon has reiterated the desire of Nigeria to be part of the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

The Super Eagles lock horns with Libya in a doubleheader qualifying tie in Uyo on Saturday before traveling to Algeria - the new home of Adel Amrouche’s men - for the second leg days later.

The three-time African champions are third in the group with three points after losing their opening game to South Africa before clinching a comfortable 3-0 victory away at Seychelles.

And the Levante forward who made a return to Gernot Rohr’s squad after missing out in the 2018 World Cup in Russia owing to injury has called on the fans for support while promising to put in their best in the encounters.

“We all want to be part of next year’s Africa cup of nations,” Simon told NFF media.

“We will take our chances in both games and give out best.

“We urge our fans to fill the Stadium with green and white and fill up the stadium on match day.”

The Super Eagles have not featured in the tournament since they won the title in 2013.
