Nadir Haroub “Cannavaro” has admitted he could leave Yanga in the search of regular football, Goal can exclusively reveal.

The 35-year-old defender has not played a competitive game since March with injuries having severely disrupted his season and ended his hopes of helping his club defend their league title for the fourth time in a row.

However, he has been fit for several months and while he has no complaints about not being able to force his way into a Yanga team which has qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup group stage this season, he met the management to discuss his future.

Haroub joined Yanga, 13 years ago and went on to win seven league titles, two CECAFA cups and one FA cup.

He was appointed as Yanga captain in 2013 after the departure of former skipper Shadrack Nsajigwa who is now the club assistant coach.
