Matildas coach Ante Milicic has unveiled a 23-player squad for the upcoming 2019 Women's World Cup.
There's no room in the side for veteran striker Kyah Simon, who will be on standby for the tournament alongside Kyra Cooney-Cross, or young Atletico Madrid attacker Alex Chidiac.
While 16-year-old rising star Mary Fowler has been named alongside Matildas captain Sam Kerr.
"In the end there was a strong criteria based on fitness and form," Milicic said.
"I'm quite pleased with the state the girls are in at the moment.
"For (Mary's) age she's a very good footballer. This is going to be a great learning experience for her.
"This is a special group of Australian footballers because, as a unit, they have accumulated a wealth of international experience despite the average age of the team being quite young."
Prior to the World Cup, the Matildas have lined up a final friendly against the Netherlands to be played on June 2.
Australia's last match saw them beaten 5-3 by the USA, who are currently ranked number one in the world and strong favourites to lift another title in France.
