Antoine Griezmann might have been linked with a move to Manchester United – but one of his latest tweets will not go down with fans of the Red Devils.
The France ace has clearly been keeping a close eye on the fortunes of the Old Trafford’s great rivals, Liverpool, and hailed the contribution of Roberto Firmino during Saturday’s home fixture against Swansea.
The Brazil ace scored twice in the Anfield encounter, with the second a brilliant strike after he coolly brought the ball down on his chest in the opposing box.
“Firmino is a top player,” Griezmann wrote in reaction.
Ultimately, the contribution of the attacker was insufficient to keep the Reds in the game, as they suffered a 3-2 defeat that represents a major bodyblow to their hopes of winning the Premier League title.

Griezmann might have appreciated his contribution, but United fans will take a dim view of the 25-year-old’s comments should he make a move to Old Trafford and continue to make them.
