The name, badge and colours of the new A-League franchise from South Western Sydney appears to have been leaked on social media ahead of Wednesday's announcement.
Eagle-eyed Brisbane Times editor Cameron Atfield spotted a club logo on IP Australia, which features the team name Macarthur FC, with a black and gold bull in the middle of the crest, and posted it on his Twitter account.
Macarthur FC has been one of the options touted for the new franchise, while 'The Bulls' has also been mentioned as a likely nickname for the team.
The general reaction to the leaked content on social media was positive.
The franchise won't be making their debut until the 2020-21 A-League season and have been linked with ex-Socceroos captain Mile Jedinak as their first marquee.
