Southgate is contracted with England through the 2022 World Cup, and is no guarantee to take the job either, as he may believe another top job will open up for him in the future.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is demanding Chelsea allow him to leave for Bayern Munich this week in a £35 million move, reports the Daily Mail.

The teenager believes he would receive an opportunity at Bayern, as the Bundesliga champions will have wingers Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery depart at the end of the season.

Hudson-Odoi does not believe he will get the same chance at Chelsea and is unlikely to sign a new deal when he feels the Bundesliga offers a better pathway to development.

Manuel Pellegrini said he hoped Marko Arnautovic would "take the best decision for everyone" after he appeared to wave goodbye to West Ham fans during the 1-0 Premier League win against Arsenal.

Arnautovic has been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United, while there have been reports of a £35 million ($44.8m) offer from the Chinese Super League that prompted West Ham to release a statement this week insisting the Austria international "is not for sale". 

However against Arsenal, Arnautovic was replaced after 70 minutes and removed his gloves to wave to all corners of the ground, leaving Pellegrini to admit a decision had to be taken that would work out for all parties.

Monaco have confirmed the loan signing of William Vainqueur from Turkish outfit Antalyaspor.

The Argentine's current deal runs until 2021, but the Nerazzurri want to tie him down to a new one amid ongoing interest from Spain and England.

Icardi's agent and wife, Wanda Nara, said this week that the two sides are far apart in negotiations, fuelling speculation that the striker could leave San Siro in the near future.

Although Inter do not expect to wrap up his extension this week, directors Piero Ausilio and Giuseppe Marotta will meet with Nara and are confident of making progress in their early negotiations.

The Spanish side have been heavily linked with the 25-year-old striker and need to bring in a new star goal scorer following Cristiano Ronaldo's departure.

The newspaper reports Madrid made contact with Spurs in December to get a sense of how much the Premier League side would want for the England international.

The defender joined from Bayern last year and signed an extension until 2021 before the start of this season, but he has made just seven Bundesliga appearances in 2018-19.

The 29-year-old is out with another injury and it is unknown when he will return to action. Stuttgart are ready to cut their losses and let him find another club, as sporting director Michael Reschke told Bild: "The past half year has unsatisfactory for both sides. Should Holger and his advisor approach us in this transfer window, we will show we are willing to talk. I have the impression that Holger can imagine a new challenge."
