Former Chelsea star Florent Malouda has joined the coaching staff of FC Zurich. 

The 38-year-old will take charge of "the training of the talents and the attackers of the first team, as well as in the academy."

Samuelson's loan at VVV Venlo to be cancelled


West Ham winger Martin Samuelson's loan at VVV Venlo is set to be cancelled, according to Haugesund Avis.

The 21-year-old has struggled for game time at the Eredivisie club, and is set for another loan at Norwegian side FK Haugesund.

Samuelson joined the Hammers in 2015 but has played just two games for the club while spending the majority of his time on loan.

Chelsea line up Under as Hazard replacement


Chelsea are interested in Roma winger Cengiz Under as a possible replacment for Eden Hazard, according to Turkish Football. 

Hazard could potentially leave the Blues at season's end in favour of a long-rumoured move to Real Madrid

Under, 21, has been one of Roma's top players over the past two seasons, and the Serie A club could cash in on the Turkish international in the summer.

Timbers interested in Jeremejeff


The Portland Timbers are interested in BK Hacken striker Alexander Jeremejeff, reports Expressen

Jeremejeff is in the midst of a breakout season with the Swedish club, scoring nine goals in 15 games thus far. 

There are also Russsian clubs interested in the 25-year-old, who recently made his national team debut with Sweden

Barcelona scout Pepe and Leao


Barcelona sent scouts to watch Lille duo Nicolas Pepe and Rafael Leao at the weekend, according to France Football. 

Pepe is one of Europe's most sought-after attackers, with PSG stepping up their pursuit of the Ivorian in recent weeks. 

Leao, 19, only joined Lille from Sporting CP last summer but is already drawing admirers from bigger clubs around Europe. 

Herrera to sign new Man Utd deal


Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera is ready to sign a new three-year deal worth £100,000 per week, The Sun reports. 

The 29-year-old appeared ready to leave United a few months ago, with his deal set to expire at the end of the season and talks over an extension stalling.

But Herrera has been in fantastic form of late, reiterating his value to the cause at Old Trafford. 

Rapids sign Acosta to new three-year deal


Kellyn Acosta has signed a new three-year contract with the Colorado Rapids, according to

Acosta, 23, joined the Rapids from FC Dallas last July and saw the Rapids turn away a $3 million offer from a Championship club in January. 

The U.S. international midfielder will earn an average of $800,000 per season under his new contract. 

Sporting CP forced to sell Fernandes


Sporting CP will be forced to sell Liverpool and Milan target Bruno Fernandes in the summer, according to Correio de Manha.

The 24-year-old has impressed this season, scoring 21 goals from an attacking midfield position.

Fernandes has a release clause of €100 million (£87m/$113m), but cash-strapped Sporting would likely have to accept significantly less than that to complete a deal. 

Man City target £150m in British talent


Pep Guardiola has three youngsters on his radar for the summer

Manchester City are targeting three top British talents in summer moves worth £150 million ($196m), according to The Sun. 

Pep Guardiola is looking to increase City's number of home-grown players and has identified three Premier League stars who can improve his side. 

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Leicester left-back Ben Chilwell are all on City's wish list for the summer. 

Toronto FC waiting on Pozuelo answer


Toronto FC hopes to know by the end of the week if Genk attacking midfielder Alejandro Pozuelo will join the club, reports. 

The MLS side wants the 27-year-old to help fill the void left by Sebastian Giovinco, who has joined Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal.

Genk, though, are looking to hold on to the Spaniard, who has an €8 million ($9m) release clause. 

Nice punish Saint-Maximin for no-show


Nice have punished winger Allan Saint-Maximin for missing Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Angers without permission.

Saint-Maximin claimed he had a stomach illness, but the club doctor felt that should not have prevented him from travelling.

The 21-year-old has been targeted by AC MilanAtletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.

Diarra terminates contract with PSG


Lassana Diarra has terminated his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, according to L'Equipe.

The 33-year-old midfielder joined PSG in January 2018 on a one-and-a-half-year deal, and has featured sparingly for the Ligue 1 champions.

Diarra has made just three Ligue 1 appearances this season, the most recent of which came back in October. 


Wenger was convinced Ramsey would stay


Arsene Wenger has registered his surprise that Aaron Ramsey is leaving Arsenal.

The former Gunners boss believes that had he not left the club at the end of last season, the Welshman could very well be staying in north London. 

Ramsey is set to join Juventus next season after agreeing a pre-contract with the Serie A champions.

Sacking Sarri would cost Chelsea £5m


Chelsea would be able to sack manager Maurizio Sarri for £5 million, according to The Sun. 

The payout would be the lowest the Blues have given any manager who has been sacked in the Roman Abramovich era.

Sarri's contract runs through 2020-21, but the Italian would only be due next season's salary should Chelsea decide to cut bait. 

City to offer Laporte new contract


The defender has impressed since joining the club in January 2018

Manchester City are set to offer defender Aymeric Laporte a new contract, reports The Times.

The 24-year-old has become an integral part of the team since joining in a £57 million deal from Athletic Bilbao in January 2018.

Though Laporte's current deal runs through 2023, City want to reward their only player who has started every Premier League game this season.

Barcelona closing on €20m deal for Vitao & Candido


Barcelona are close to completing a €20 million (£17m/$23m) double deal for highly rated Palmeiras pair Vitao and Luan Candido, Goal understands.

Vitao is a 19-year-old centre-half, while club colleague Candido is a promising 18-year-old left-back.

Bayern plan £40m Wan-Bissaka bid


The Palace right-back has generated plenty of attention this season

Bayern Munich are preparing to make a £40 million (€46m/$52m) bid for Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, The Sun reports. 

The 21-year-old has drawn a host of suitors with his performances this term, including Manchester City, Chelsea and Dortmund.

Wan-Bissaka has a contract with Palace through 2022.

Juventus quash 'fantasy' talk of Salah-Dybala swap


Juventus have sought to distance themselves from rumours regarding a potential swap deal involving Paulo Dybala and Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah, with sporting director Fabio Paratici describing such talk as “fantasy”.

He has told Rai Radio: “Right now it’s just fantasy, we are still in February and we don’t know what will happen in June.”

Atletico Madrid defender Stefan Savic has been linked with a move to Juventus in recent weeks and his agent has refused to rule out a transfer this summer.

Speaking ahead of Atletico's Champions League last 16 tie with the Italian giants, Zarko Pelicic, who represents the 28-year-old, told Tuttomercatoweb: "His contract with Atletico expires in 2022. He's happy in Madrid.

West Ham hope to sign Gary Medel


Besiktas midfielder Gary Medel is the subject of interest from West Ham, according to Turkish publication Takvim.

The Chilean has previous experience in the Premier League with Cardiff City and also played for Inter Milan for three years before moving to Turkey in 2017.

West Ham made an approach for Medel in January and they could submit a formal offer when the transfer window reopens, with the 31-year-old looking to leave Besiktas this summer.

Adam Lewis agrees new Liverpool deal


Liverpool left-back Adam Lewis has agreed terms on a new contract an Anfield, according to Sky Sports.

The 19-year-old has been linked with a move to Rangers in the past, but he is now set to commit his long-term future to the Reds.

Lewis has not yet earned his senior debut but he is a fixture in the Liverpool U-23 team and he has also represented England at U-20 level.

Mpenza urges Hazard to leave Chelsea this summer


Eden Hazard should leave Chelsea and would become a better player at Real Madrid, according to former Belgium international Emile Mpenza.

The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a switch to Madrid, a path trodden by former Chelsea team-mate and Belgium colleague Thibaut Courtois in the close season.

Hazard's contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of next season and this month he said he has made a decision about his future, though he did not offer any further information.

Barca targeted Benzema before he joined Madrid


Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema was a primary transfer target for Barcelona while at Lyon back in 2008, according to Marca.

Former Blaugrana boss Pep Guardiola had lost faith in Samuel Etoo at the time and was hoping to bring in the Frenchman to replace him.

The move eventually broke down because Barca's ex-technical secretary Txiki Begisristain was left unimpressed with Benzema's demeanour after holding talks with the player in Lyon.


Napoli eyeing Belotti and Immobile


Torino captain Andrea Belotti and Lazio centre-forward Ciro Immobile have emerged as transfer targets for Napoli, according to Calcio Mercato.

Belotti is under contract until 2021, but the 25-year-old might be willing to take the next step forward in his career this summer.

Meanwhile, Immobile's current contract at San Paolo Stadium is not due to expire until 2023, however, Lazio may be willing to sacrifice their star player to raise funds in the event that they miss out on Champions League qualification.

Arsenal contenders to sign De Ligt


Arsenal are eyeing a summer transfer swoop for Ajax defender Mattijs De Ligt, according to the Daily Mail.

The Brazilian has been a vital piece for Porto having moved from a wide position into central defence.

With several other clubs interested, Madrid are in a hurry to finalize a deal for a player that has earned comparisons to Sergio Ramos due to his positional switch.



Nagbe to remain with Atlanta United


Darlington Nagbe will remain with Atlanta United after being absent for part of the club's preseason, according to Dirty South Soccer.

Reports emerged linking Nagbe with a move away from the club due to issues with the internal organization. 

However, it now appears the U.S. national team midfielder will remain with the club after helping Atlanta win an MLS Cup title in 2018. 

Barca close in on Brazilian defender


Barcelona are closing in on their latest signing, Brazilian defender Vitao, according to Marca.

The 19-year-old defender and his representatives are in Spain to finish off a deal to complete a move from Palmeiras.

Vitao, a member of Brazil's U-20 team, is expected to join up with the club's second team or be loaned out to gain experience.

Marcelo is frustrated with his situation at Real Madrid and is ready to demand a summer exit if things do not change, according to COPE.

Though the left-back has a contract until 2022, he has struggled with injury this season and been criticised by fans and media.

With Cristiano Ronaldo trying to recruit him to Juventus, Marcelo met on Monday with Real Madrid managing director José Ángel Sánchez to discuss his future.

Sarri unsure if players still back him


Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has claimed that he is not sure whether his players are still with him following his side's 2-0 loss to Manchester United in the FA Cup.

The Blues have now lost three of their last five games in all competitions without scoring, with Bournemouth and Manchester City inflicting 4-0 and 6-0 defeats, respectively.

Stoke to try to sell Berahino


Stoke City want to sell Saido Berahino after the striker was arrested for suspicion of drink driving on Monday, according to the Daily Mail.

It is the latest in a series of occurances for Berahino that have left the Championship club soured on his future after his £12 million ($16m) move two years ago.

Berahino will be fined two weeks wages and Stoke will hope to unload him after the season. 

Klopp admits Liverpool wanted to sign Sancho


Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says he was interested in signing Jadon Sancho, but the culture surrounding transfers between English clubs prevented a deal from taking place.

Sancho left Manchester City for Borussia Dortmund this past summer and has rapidly become a key contributor for the German club, while Liverpool brought in the likes of Mohamed Salah, Andrew Robertson, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The Reds manager says German clubs are in prime position to pounce on English talent like Sancho given the current culture between top clubs in the Premier League.
