On Monday, Malaysian competitions organiser Football Malaysia LLP (FMLLP) announced that the Malaysia Cup matchday five game between Kuala Lumpur and Felcra FC will be moved by one day.

The match, originally scheduled to be played at the KLFA Stadium on Saturday, September 1, has now been moved to September 2, at the same venue.

This is because the ground will be used on Saturday for the first leg AFF Championship qualification match between Timor-Leste and Brunei.

The match had earlier been scheduled to take place at the National Stadium in Dili, Timor-Leste, but the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) expressed concerns over the venue's floodlighting, and decided to hold the match at the KLFA Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia instead, with the cooperation of the Malaysian FA (FAM).

The second leg encounter will be held on September 8 at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, Brunei. The winner will be placed in Group B, alongside Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Singapore in the finals, which will kick off on November 8.
