Mathare United and Zoo Kericho settled to a one all draw in a Kenyan Premier League match played at Kericho Green Stadium on Sunday.
The hosts had lost their last outing against Tusker by a solitary goal, with their opponents also suffering a humiliating 4-0 loss to Nakumatt. It was a match that both teams desperately needed maximum points.
Roy Okal scored his first goal for the club as the lads battled Zoo to a 1-1 draw at the Kericho Green Stadium on Sunday.
The midfielder lobbed home the opener in the 28th before Johnston Ligare equalised in the 52nd.

It was the 2008 league champions Mathare United, who broke the dead lock with fifteen minutes on the clock. Chris Oduor spotted Roy Okal making a run, and the midfielder beautifully fed him the ball, and the latter did well to put it way beyond Martin Elungat.
The hosts responded by increasing the tempo of their game, but poor finishing and good goalkeeping ensured the 'slum boys' go to the break with a 1-0 lead.
Seven minutes after the restart, Zoo equalized courtesy of Johnson Ligare, who guided in a ball from Nicholas Kipkirui. At Thika County Stadium, the hosts Thika United continued with their poor run after falling against visitors Vihiga United by a solitary goal.
The loan goal by Vihiga was scored by Amos Kigadi in the 57th minute to ensure the milkmen stay bottom of the relegation zone.
