Mathare United ace Klinsman Omulanga has vowed to stake his claim in the squad for next season.
Omulanga, who joined the club in January from Liberty Professionals, has enhanced his reputation as a super sub in the second leg where he has scored two goals.
His latest cameo was against Gor Mahia last Sunday where he came off the bench shortly after the restart with the team trailing to inspire a comeback. He pulled one back in the 67th minute before winning a penalty that was successfully converted by Cliff Nyakeya with ten minutes left.
“I am happy with my performance because I have been working hard in training waiting for the opportunity. Against Gor Mahia, coach introduced me earlier than usual and that shows that he had a lot of trust in me,” Omulanga told Mathare United website.
“It feels good to score against the champions and also helping my team get a point in a match that looked beyond us at half time. It shows that I am improving and I can only get better.”
Both goals came from some chemistry upfront among the trio of Omulanga, Ronald Reagan and Daniel Mwaura. The budding forward revealed that their understanding was borne out of the training ground.
