Keisuke Honda gets incredible reception from Japanese fans

There are no A-League players capable of getting this reception...except this man

Keisuke Honda has been mobbed by Japanese fans in amazing scenes following Melbourne Victory's 2-1 win over Sydney FC at Jubilee Stadium.

In front of a huge contingent of fans from his home country, the superstar playmaker scored the decisive goal from the penalty spot, with the famous Japanese 'Nippon' chant audible in the following minutes from the Victory away end.

After the match, Japanese fans began to congregate around the bus designated to take Victory to the airport and when Honda emerged about an hour after the final whistle, incredible scenes ensued.

It's been a common scene at all Melbourne Victory games this season with Japanese fans clamouring to get a close-up glimpse of Honda.

The Keisuke show heads back to Melbourne next weekend with the Victory taking on Wanderers at Marvel Stadium on Saturday night.
