Kakamega Homeboyz held GOtv Shield Champions, AFC Leopards to a goalless draw in a friendly match staged on Tuesday at the Bukhungu Stadium.

The two sides played to a stalemate in a ceremonial match during the official opening ceremony of the newly refurbished stadium.

Bukhungu hosted the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup opening match between Kenya and Rwanda and group B matches before the official opening ceremony that was graced by top officials from the local county government.

Newly acquired AFC Leopards stars, Ezekiel Otuoma and Ezekiel Odera made their debut for the club in the offseason friendly match.

The match also helped coach Robert Matano to gauge the fitness level of his squad before the December break before the team reassembles in January to begin preparation for 2018 Caf Confederation Cup.
