Jordon Ibe backs Lys Mousset to shine for Bournemouth

Jordon Ibe is positive that teammate, Lys Mousset will continue to blossom for Bournemouth after the attacker opened his goal account for the club.

The French forward ended his 27-match goal drought when he fired home after an assist from Ibe to spark a comeback for Eddie Howe’s men against Wigan Athletic in the third round of the FA Cup tie.

Mousset joined the Dean Court in the summer of 2016 from the French side, Le Havre for € 6.5 million but has failed to replicate the form that saw him score 14 league goals prior to his arrival to the English Premier League side.

And after returning to scoring ways, Ibe is optimistic that goals will start to ‘flood in’ for the 21-year-old.

"Lys has been working hard. He's done some great finishes in training so it was about time for him to get his first goal,” Ibe told club website.

"It's been difficult for him since he came here. He has not had the best of chances but this season he has had chances so, hopefully, the goals will flood in for him."

Both players will be looking to continue their productive partnership when Bournemouth slug it out with Arsenal in a league tie on January 14.
