Ireland vs USA team news: Weah, Adams & McKennie in starting side

Tim Weah, Tyler Adams and Weston McKennie are all in the starting team for Dave Sarachan as the U.S. national team takes on the Republic of Ireland on Saturday.

The three teens highlight a young starting side that will be captained by midfielder Wil Trapp.

Bobby Wood gets the start up front, with Weah on the right and Rubio Rubin on the left expected to support him out of a five-man midfield.

Adams and McKennie start beside Trapp in the middle of the park.

Sarachan has opted for the same back line that kept a clean sheet against Paraguay in March, with Jorge Villafana playing on the left, DeAndre Yedlin on the right and Cameron Carter-Vickers joining Matt Miazga in the middle.

Overall this is the second-youngest team Sarachan has fielded, coming in just behind Monday's lineup with an average age of 23 years, 73 days.

For Ireland, Shane Long misses out after picking up a knock in training, as does left back Derrick Williams, but Martin O'Neill has turned to a much more experienced team.

Colin Doyle starts in goal, with Seamus Coleman, Kevin Long, John O'Shea, Shane Duffy and James McClean making up the back line.

Declan Rice, Callum O'Dowda and Jeff Hendrick start in a three-man midfield, with Graham Burke and Jon Walters leading the line.

It's a debut for Burke, who becomes the first the first League of Ireland player to start for Ireland since 2007.

Republic of Ireland starting XI: Doyle; Coleman, Long, O'Shea, Duffy, McClean; Rice, O'Dowda, Hendrick; Burke, Walters

USA Starting XI: Hamid; Yedlin, Carter-Vickers, Miazga, Villafaña; Trapp (capt.); Weah, Adams, McKennie, Rubin; Wood
