Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye has sent his support to teammate Michael Keane who suffered a hairline skull fracture in Saturday's match against Bournemouth.

After scoring his maiden league goal for Toffees in an encounter that ended 2-2, the former Burnley defender and Gueye were involved in an accidental collision.

The game was delayed and the England international was immediately rushed to Poole Hospital on a stretcher.

Keane has been ruled out for three to four weeks and the Senegal international expressed his sympathy.

"Hope Michael Keane is ok. Accidental collision. Get well soon my bro!" Gueye tweeted.

The 28-year-old midfielder has played every minute in all of Everton's Premier League games this season.

The Merseyside club have won one and drawn two of their three league matches. They play Rotherham United in Wednesday's League Cup outing before hosting Huddersfield United for their next Premier League fixture on Saturday.
