I-League 2017-18: Khalid Jamil - Expectation is always high with East Bengal

East Bengal head coach Khalid Jamil was cautious when quizzed about his team's chances against Churchill Brothers in their I-League match at the Tilak Maidan Stadium in Goa on Monday. The Red and Golds are top of the standings with 17 points from eight games.

"The expectation is always high with East Bengal. We need only 100 percent result. We should not take anything lightly," cautioned Jamil.

Jamil also shrugged off suggestions of his team being title favourites and said, "We are thinking about tomorrow. We are playing against a good team. There is still a long way to go. Tomorrow's match is vital for us."

East Bengal edged out Churchill Brothers in a 3-2 result earlier in the season at the Barasat Stadium. Willis Plaza turned up with a late winner to help his side get all three points in an entertaining affair in Kolkata.

"We found it very difficult to play against them at home. It is always difficult to play away match against Churchill. We need a good start. "

"Everybody must give their best and not take things lightly. Just give your best and the results will automatically come," Jamil signed off.
