Hearts of Oak hand Razak contract extension until 2020, says agent

Hearts of Oak have offered poster boy Patrick Razak a two-year contract extension, the player's agent Abdullai Alhassan has revealed.

The former Tamale Utrecht winger, who will be without contract after November, confirmed his readiness to leave the club last month after Guinean side AC Horoya made an improved offer of $80,000 to Hearts of Oak following an initial $60,000 bid which was rejected.

However, Hearts are bent on tying him down as they look to build the team around him ahead of the new season under new coach Henry Wellington.

"Hearts of Oak have been talking to us frequently and they want Patrick Razak to sign a two-year contract extension so that he won't be free after the season," Alhassan told Otec FM.

"They want to pay him $6,660 each year as signing on fee and $335 each month as salary. We can't say much for now but hopefully everything regarding the player's future will be made known to the public," he added.

Razak was part of the Ghana squad that won the 2017 Wafu Cup of Nations trophy.
