Juma, the reigning Kenyan Premier League top scorer, signed for South African club Cape Town City FC in January.
The former Kariobangi Sharks striker did not hide his feelings towards his coach whom he would want to follow his illustrious career.
“I used to be Benni McCarthy's fan, and now I’m being coached by him, so it’s amazing. I’m really enjoying being under him, and I hope I follow in his footsteps to become a better striker in the future," Juma told the club's official website.
“It’s amazing, and an honour being here. It’s a dream of every player where I come from to play in such a big league. I’m here to work and to score, as I do, which is my job and what I like to do."
It remains to be seen whether Masoud Juma would follow in the footsteps of McCarthy by moving to Europe after his spell in South Africa.
