Harambee Stars striker Jesse Were has been voted the best player for Zesco United for the month of June.

The former Tusker striker has been in great form for the Team Ya Ziko in both the Zambian league and Caf Confederations Cup. On Sunday, he was on target as Zesco United beat Green Eagles 3-2 in Ndola on Sunday. Zesco United have confirmed the latest achievement on their official facebook page.

Zesco were leading 3-0 before the first hour-mark of the opening 45 minute before Eagles hit back to narrow the gap at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium. John Chingandu struck twice in the 1st and 28th minutes while Jesse Were scored in-between with a 22nd minute goal.
