Gor Mahia Coach Dylan Kerr is pleased with the home win against Leones Vegetarianos in the opening leg of the Caf Champions League preliminary round.
Gor Mahia kicked their continental campaign on a high note following their 2-0 win against the Equatorial Guinea side at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Saturday.
Goals from Kevin Omondi and Ephraim Guikan were all the 16-time Kenyan Premier League Champions needed to oust their opponents.
Kerr said: "Our plan worked. We wanted to put them under intense pressure and we managed to do that from the first whistle. We created numerous chances but were quite unfortunate not to take most of them, but I am happy with the way we played.
"Now we should be focused on the second leg with an aim of progressing to the next round."
A draw or a narrow 1-0 loss in the second leg will see K'Ogalo progress to the next round.
